A couple of nice electric conversions from Alan Hansen. A six channel Kittyhawk and a Brodak .38 Special.  Both are nice flyers.

The following photos are of a Bill Evans design which he modelled after the Harold DeBolt's Stunt Wagon. The plan appeared in the March 1950 Australian Model Hobbies magazine.
As can be seen, it was originally owned by Col Somers (deceased) and Alan thinks it is the original model and Frog 500 that Col flew in the 1952 Nats.
THAT'S A 61 YEAR OLD PLANE!!

HI John, here are the photos of the Wagon for you.I have only flown it twice and will only fly on selected club days as its a piece of our great sports history. Would like to build one as a regular flyer though. Had to make a new conrod for the frog but goes great now. Has a sound all of their own.

The Bendigo Commemorative Motor

Does anyone know anything about this motor or the designer, David Kerr?
How many were made? What was it commemorating?
This engine was originally owned by Chris Greenwood, deceased, ex MAAA Secretary for many years.
The internals are supposedly from a FROG 500. Let me know and I will post any info on the blog. johnmoody@westnet.com.au

NEWSFLASH.....!
David Kerr is alive and well and is a member of the Greensborough Model Aero Club.
John Lamont has made contact with David and will feature the motors in the next Aust. Model News newsletter. The internals were not Frog 500, David designed them himself. He  made 15 of these motors, selling only five. He still has the remainder at home. For further information you will have to wait for the next edition of Aust Model News.

Here are a few photos of the C/L fly-in at Hobart Model Aero Club's Kelly Field last weekend.
The weather was not too kind with Saturday being much too windy. Sunday morning was flyable with a stiff breeze which eased off during the afternoon. There was a pretty good turnout as you can see. Photos by Will Deal.

Will Deal with Owen Cameron's Ramrod.

Not Another Bloody Bi-Slob!!

Yep! This is my 'Slob. Built from the Flying Models plan and powered by a 60th Anniversary FOX .35 with 10 x 6 prop. All up weight is 28 ozs. I enjoyed building it. The only problem was the glues wouldn't dry because of the cold weather. My shed isn't heated. So this slowed the building process.

Test flight this coming weekend at Kelly Field, Richmond.

Here's a neat way to seal off the vent pipe. It's a suitably sized
ball bearing pressed into the tubing.
Credit goes to Owen Cameron for this idea.

Well, that just about says it all!
